Our
three-dimensional modeling and state-of-the-art
computer-aided drafting (CAD) capabilities can
accurately track vertical loads from a home’s ridge
to the foundation.
Framing Solutions
Paragon innovative software tools optimize the
decisions that go into a framing project. We
can evaluate the frame as an integrated
whole, specify individual framing members,
create cut lists, manage inventories, and
customize at will.
Our
equipment allow components to be quickly
rendered, labelled, marked, and arranged for
rapid delivery and easy installation.

CanadaLog
& Hybrid Timber Home Package-Kits with iLevel products are:
- Carbon Negative
That means we absorb more CO2 from the
atmosphere than we produce. During photosynthesis, trees
absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, from the air and
give off oxygen. iLevel wood products continue to store
carbon during their useful life, limiting the amount of
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In 2008 the products we
manufactured stored the equivalent of 7.7 million metric
tons of CO2.
- Resource Efficient
On average, we use 99% of each log to
produce iLevel and Weyerhaeuser wood products, additional
wood products, and energy. And our engineered wood
products are made using advance technologies that allow us
to take wood fiber from trees less suitable for structural
lumber and efficiently turn them into strong, predictable
building materials.
- Low Emitting
Urea formaldehyde resins are not added
to any of our products. Concerns about off-gassing from
urea formaldehyde have led to limits on emissions, most
notably by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
iLevel engineered wood products are exempt from
requirements of CARB. Consult our
materials and safety data sheets (MSDS) for more
details or download
iLevel’s Q&A on adhesives and formaldehyde.
- Renewable
Trees from sustainably managed forests
are a renewable resource and all of Weyerhaeuser’s North
American timberlands are certified to either the
Sustainable Forestry Initiative Need link: Standards
Association (CSA/Z809) Sustainable Forestry Management
standard.
- Certified to Sustainable
Forestry Standards
iLevel
products are independently certified to either SFI or
CSA/Z809. Having our products certified to these standards
indicates that iLevel has lived up to the highest criteria
for obtaining the raw materials that go into making our
products. Independent certification also provides our
customers with the assurance that iLevel follows
responsible purchasing practices.
- Made Using Renewable Energy
More than half of the energy
needed to make iLevel building materials comes from
by-products of the manufacturing process.

GREEN BUILDING
Green building focuses on how effectively structures and
the sites they are built on use energy, water and materials.
This includes every step of the building process, as well as
ongoing requirements during a structure’s life.
The goal is to enhance human health and the environment by
focusing on site selection, building design, construction
methods, operating systems, maintenance and waste.
Environmental profiles and life-cycle assessments are
common methods for comparing environmental performance among
green building materials. These methods rely on accurate and
detailed data gathered during the course of a product’s life.
Independent reviews of these life-cycle assessments show
that wood requires less energy to produce and provides better
insulation from cold and heat than alternative materials. The
Consortium for Research on Renewable Industrial Materials
found that in a typical home, wood construction offers the
following advantages:
- 17 percent less energy needed than steel
- 16 percent less energy needed than concrete
- 26 percent less greenhouse gases generated than steel
- 31 percent less greenhouse gases generated than
concrete
Wood also generated fewer air pollutants.
Additionally, Paragon and CanadaLog & Hybrid Timber Homes
via Weyerhaeuser’s / ILevel wood products are made from trees
harvested from forests certified by third parties as
sustainably managed. These wood products store carbon during
their useful life, limiting the amount of carbon dioxide in
the atmosphere.
